Everyone in the Shower for a Picture
Columbus Day weekend was once again spent at the Lake.
I’ll get the one bad part over with first.
Yes, the dock is in a spot (but perhaps not the best spot) out of the water.
But how it got there was ugly. Tempers flared out of control. Well, tempers of two flared out of control while others looked on wide-eyed. The guilty parties will remain nameless.
The rest of the weekend was perfect. Beautiful weather, great food, and outdoor chores. All right up my alley.
Megan made her amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Sue and Lexi got into the action.
My mother was out in the woods cleaning.
There was some chain sawing.
And, of course, there was our semi-annual family event of showering. We had to take care of a puddling problem. This is one instance where my brother and I were in vehement agreement – in our disapproval of my husband’s efforts.
I realize you’ve seen me in this outfit before. When something works for me, I stick with it.
We also brought the boat back to the marina. Since we had some problems with the boat stalling the day before and since the marina is quite a ways away, we sent Dave and Matt. With plenty of oars.
They didn’t make it.
Here they are returning from their harrowing event with their emergency gear.
Phil was part of the festivities, but no good photos to share unfortunately.
There were, however, several good photos of the main subject. Here is one:
