The job search isn’t exactly going at a blazing pace. I’ve been distracted by too many fun things like attending home and garden shows, traveling to Florida, and spending way too much time on this blog.
I’ve also been skating three times. How ridiculous is that for a 50+ year old? I’m starting to get my skating legs back, and each time I work up the nerve to add a new “trick”.
The first time there, I actually made a new friend (the dangers of making eye contact with someone). He gave me a few tips that helped me out, and he asked me if I had ever pair skated. I said no. The second time he asked me again, and I thought, okay this guy wants to pair skate with me. So we skated around the rink a couple of times. My kids are mortified that I held hands with another man, and I’m not sure I’ve actually told my husband about this yet.
The third time out, my daughter came with me, so we were able to do a little video taping. For some reason, the video doesn’t accurately depict how fast I am in real life (or in my mind’s eye at least). However, the video does accurately depict how hilarious Heather can be.

Oh how I love this… On so many levels! I would have liked to see the pair skating though – get the video out the next time you see your friend! And, Heather is so cute in this.
