College Visits

I’m experiencing another last.

This time it is looking at colleges.

Since each of the girls have their own unique interests and personalities, each round of visits has involved going to new colleges. Between the three of them, I have no idea how many colleges we’ve seen. I can’t even remember all of them.

Last week, there were five.

Lasell

Salve Regina

Roger Williams

Emerson

Emmanuel

What I’ve noticed on all these tours is that the parents are a lot more into it than the kids are. One prospective student was big time fidgeting behind me during a presentation from admissions at Roger Williams, and Dave told me a parent took a cell phone away from his son at Emmanuel. Our own daughter hung in there, but sometimes just barely.

On the last tour of the week (that Dave took her to on Saturday), here was a text exchange between Dave and me:

She wasn’t too happy when she happened to see my last response.

But doesn’t she look the part?
