Easter Weekend
The weekend started Friday morning when Nicole made breakfast for her boyfriend, Connor. When the two of them went out to eat that night, Dave and I had the leftovers from the last time they had gone out to eat.
On Saturday, I took Heather shopping for her birthday, Meagan was in Boston with Andres and her friends, and Nicole went over Connor’s.
Saturday night, we managed to drag Nicole away from Connor and met up with Meagan and Andres for dinner. The girls all thought I had too much to drink, but it was just one of those nights where I was very relaxed (not a common occurrence), and I was thrilled that we were all together. So I was smiling a little more than usual. And I got the hiccups.
When we got home that evening, the dog peed on the floor as soon as Meagan walked in the door. This is really starting to hurt Heather’s feelings because the dog doesn’t do this when she walks in the door.
Shortly after we got home, Connor came back over, and we all settled down on the couch to watch a little basketball.
The next day, we headed to Peabody to celebrate a couple of birthdays and have a little dessert. Specifically a birthday cake, an ice cream cake, a babka, multiple flavors of ice cream, and both an eclair and paczki per person.
At some point during the day, I fondly (?) referred to Dave as an asshole. Everyone seemed to find that amusing.
After overloading on ham and sugar and several more uses of the term “asshole”, everyone went their separate directions, and we headed back home.
And Connor came over.
