Hillary Clinton and the New England Patriots

In yesterday’s hearing in front of the House Intel Committee, FBI Director James Comey compared Putin’s hate of Hillary Clinton to his hate of the New England Patriots.

Comey later went on to say the reason he hates the Patriots is because of their “sustained excellence.”

Yup. I’d say the comparison still applies. 

You can accuse Hillary and the Patriots of cheating and other dastardly deeds all you want – oh, the uproar over deflated balls and emails. However, the excellence is sustained.

And just as the Commish went after the Patriots, Putin went after Hillary.

The big difference, however, is that the Rams, the Panthers, the Eagles, the Seahawks, and the Falcons didn’t cheat against the Patriots.

I also don’t recall the refs making any game changing calls late in the game with the game on the line.  Like telling the world one team is under investigation but not saying a word about the other team being under investigation.

During the hearing Comey painstakingly protected the privacy of U.S. citizens who may or may not be the subject of an on-going investigation (?????????), but it does appear that Team Trump cheated.

And I know for a fact Trump lies. Here is just one example:

And he twists facts as he did in real time during the hearings. And, in real time, his tweets of those twisted facts were refuted by both the FBI and the NSA.

But he never apologizes for those harmful lies.

So an unapologetic, lying cheater (most likely) won the big game.

I’d much rather have sustained excellence in the Oval Office.
