Master Moody

It’s now official. My daughter is smarter than me. She received her masters this past weekend, and this is the stack of books I found on her desk:

Of course, the fact that she is smarter than me has been unofficially true for quite some time. Along with nicer, politer, better equipped to deal with stress, and more mature.

Well, maybe not more mature all of the time.

Notice the silly putty on the side of the stack and that the most accessible book in the stack doesn’t exactly fit in with the others. Also, she remains a big fan of Disney princesses, Katniss Everdeen, Harry Potter,  and Beyonce (of course).

But that’s one of the things I most admire about Meagan.  She has an amazing sense of priorities.  She manages to pull off the grades but knows when to stop working and when to have fun and enjoy life.

As any good parent, I’m living vicariously through her, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for her next, wherever it may lead her.  And she should know that she makes me smile.

I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

Wherever, wherever, wherever you go
Wherever, wherever, wherever you go

Wherever you go
Always know
You make me smile
Even just for a while
