Post 11-9
I’m back.
Sort of.
I won’t be posting any more personal stories. I’m not really up for sharing those stories with the public anymore.
And I know that I’ve said in the past that I don’t want this to be a political blog.
Well, I’ve changed my mind.
And just as a heads up, I’m a liberal. Perhaps I’m even a progressive, though I need to figure out what that means. I am #StillWithHer and always will be. And I am vehemently opposed to Trump.
So, with that heads up, if you want to hightail it out of here, that’s fine.
But there are too many things running around in my head. Too many things that want to make me scream. So I need to get them out.
My goal is to increase civic engagement – both in myself and hopefully in my readers.
I’m not sure I have a solid plan in place for achieving that goal. The news is overwhelming, and it’s hard to figure out what to tackle first. So, for now, I’m going to pick one thing to talk about and go with it.
My primary sources will be The Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, and Trump’s tweets.
Categories I’m envisioning include:
- Politicians to watch
- Journalists to read
- Articles or stories worth highlighting
- Actions to consider
- Hillary because she makes me smile
- Trump’s latest
I’ll also be much more active on Twitter.
Suggestions and comments are welcome! Even those that disagree with me. As long as you convey them as you would to a friend – or even a fellow human being – in person. I will convey my thoughts in the same way.
Hope you stick around.
I will most definitely stick around !!!! And I love your agenda….let me know when you find the definition between a liberal and a progressive because I’m sure that I’m either one or both if that can be 😳
Thanks Sharon!
With you 1000% percent!
Thanks Jo. 🙂
First yay your back!
Second, I’m with you.
I went to the March in Boston last Saturday and was blown away. I want and need to get involved. I’ll be following you closely.
Thanks Michelle! I’m surprised I didn’t run into you in the sea of 175,000. Crowds are not my thing, but I am so glad I went.
love it mrs. moody!!
definitely sticking around for this and definitely going to keep showing up
Thanks Aileen. How could I possibly forget that smile and laugh? I heard you were in DC for the march?
I was! and with moody!! I was also at one in NYC this weekend to protest Trump’s travel ban. it was encouraging to see that the crowds are still large, and the people are still loud and angry
Keep up the good work!
I’m in Mich!
Thanks Gail!
