Scrapbook: Meagan’s Room
This scrapbook post comes pretty quick on the heels of the previous scrapbook post, but that’s because I finally wrapped up the transformation of Meagan’s room at the same time I finished the redo of Heather’s room. So, while it’s new and pretty and fresh in my mind…
Below is the first picture ever of Meagan’s room (modified so you can see the writing on the wall):
It was the night the Pats had won their first Super Bowl. We had watched the game at my sister-in-law’s, and I can remember my father-in-law (Poor Bob) exhibiting his typical “We’re doomed” attitude even as that final kick was going through the uprights. (Don’t worry, my husband keeps his memory alive whenever we watch a sporting event.) The wall came down the next day leading to the multi-room addition we built to satisfy my desire for another closet.
You’ve gotten a peak into Meagan’s bedroom in other posts (click on Meagan’s Room under tags to the right.) But to set the stage, here is a view from the right and a view from the left prior to any renovations:
Now for the final updates:
The dining room buffet (with silverware in the drawers) is something I’m storing for my mother because she doesn’t want to part with it. (Actually quite a number of things in this room are from my mother.) My designer turned it into something a little more appropriate for a bedroom with a few accessories. If future guests actually touch those towels, there will be hell to pay.
You may be thinking the other kid got two life-sized photos in her room, and this kid got nothing. But there are a couple of signs of Meagan here. Notice the poster over the chair and the books on the buffet. And something I added after the designer left.
