The Younger Generation

You have probably gotten the sense that I am proud of my three daughters.

But I am also proud of my nieces and nephews.

The two third graders have personalities that make them predestined to be CEOs of any company they may form. The soon-to-be high schooler is transforming into a smart and beautiful young woman before our eyes.  The college student is an incredibly hard worker who has earned his black belt. The soon-to-be college grad has a job and an apartment all lined up. The two oldest nephews have a good start on promising careers and are out on their own. The oldest niece is a second grade teacher who has classroom stories that show a blend of firmness, caring, and enjoyment.

She is also the first of the bunch to get married, and on Sunday, I was at her bridal shower.

It was fun to see how happy and excited she was.

It made me smile.

This younger generation is fun to be around, and I’m looking forward to watching them continue on their paths.
