Weekend Wrap-up
We wrapped up the weekend with more eating, some bowling, and a little football.
Even though we had plenty of fat and sugar-laden dishes in the house, we went out to eat Saturday night and chose this item off the menu:
There were originally five donuts on that plate, but by the time I got the camera out, this is what was left.
Then it was off to bowling, of all things. The kids were amused at how competitive I was and laughed at the intensity of my “form”. I was frustrated when I didn’t do well and very annoyed when my turn was up. I wanted to keep practicing until I got it right. I might have to go back on my own.
Heather won, of course, without once bending her knees.
Dave’s “strategy” was to go for the strike on every ball.
Now, a little context for the football.
You know how Sue, Nicole, Lexi, and I went on that shopping spree? Right before we left, Dave mentioned to Austin that they go to a sports bar to watch the Pat’s game. (Since it was lunch time, I mentioned to everyone that we have sandwiches before we all left. To no avail.) They dragged Heather with them. They participated in a raffle the bar was having, and Dave ended up winning the grand prize. Two tickets to the next Pat’s game and these items:
No matter how hard I try, I cannot win the battle against clutter in this house. We now own four coolers of this size.
So, this is how Heather and Dave put the final wrap-up on the weekend:
